Alyssa Bustamante
Jurors from Greene County will be imported to Cole County to hear the murder trial of a mid Missouri teenager who allegedly killed her 9-year-old neighbor to see what it felt like.
Prosecutors and lawyers for 16-year-old Alyssa Bustamante agreed to that decision yesterday (March 05.).
Bustamante, who will be tried as an adult, is facing first-degree murder charges for last October's killing of Elizabeth Olten, whose body was found in a wooded area not far from the girl's homes near Jefferson City.

The death penalty will not play a factor in this case because of Bustamante's age at the time of murder. She has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.
Bustamante's next court hearing is scheduled for April 28.
