One half of a father/son crime duo that authorities say are responsible for crimes in multiple counties in southwest Missouri has pleaded guilty to stealing a car, receiving stolen property, burglary and possession of a controlled substance in Stone County.
On April 27th Jimmie Wane Elliot was sentenced to 12 years behind bars for each of the charges. Those sentences are to run concurrently (at the same time.)

Elliot's son, Thomas Lee Johnson, 21, was busted after a pursuit through Newton and McDonald Counties in a stolen Penske truck. The duo also burglarized the Shell Knob Fire Department. Elliot bolted from the stolen vehicle and was on the lam from authorities for three months until he was apprehended at a residence in Lampe in January of this year.
Johnson was sentenced to five years in prison on two Newton County charges of receiving stolen property and stealing. He was given 120 days shock time and placed on five years probation.
In January of this year Johnson was charged in Barry County with stealing property worth more than $25,000 and second-degree burglary.
The pair still face numerous theft/and or stealing charges in Taney County that have not gone to trial or been resolved, including one for burglarizing Rapid Robert's in Rigedale last September.
