Monett Man Pleads Guilty To Involuntary Manslaughter:

Francisco Hernandez

A man from Monett who was charged with killing his roommate in June of 2009 has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

An argument over a paycheck led Francisco Hernandez, 39, to stab Rolando Hernandez at the apartment the two shared.

After the stabbing Francisco Hernandez told friends he was fleeing to Texas. Authorities tracked Hernandez through Texas and Arkansas before finally catching up with him in Oklahoma.

Hernandez, who was originally charged with second-degree murder, has been sentenced to four years in prison. He was also given credit for the two years he has served in jail since his arrest.
