A man from Springfield is facing felony charges of robbery, assault and two counts of armed criminal action for allegedly stabbing a clerk at Soundsmart on E. Battlefield last Friday (03-18-11.)
People inside the store say Steven Sean Henry, 23, walked in and asked to look at something in the case and when the clerk turned his back to get the keys to unlock the case Henry stabbed the man several times.
According to online court records, Henry was released from prison in July of 2009 after serving 120 days shock time for burglary out of Christian County. He is scheduled to appear in court there on March 25th for a probation violation hearing.
He is being held in the Greene County jail on $100,000 bond and is prohibited from consuming alcohol and possessing or consuming any substance marketed or sold as incense or bath salts, including, but not limited to, Cloud 10, Kryp2Nite, Krahom, and Hometic.
If Henry is released on bond he must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.
