Former Teacher And Convicted Sex Offender Jailed AGAIN:

 A former band teacher in Greenfield found herself behind bars again for failing to follow the terms of her probation.

Alison M. Peck, 25, pleaded guilty to several sex charges in Greene, Lawrence and Dade counties for having sex with a 16 year-old student.

In December of 2009 a judge sentenced Peck to five years probation and ordered she receive counseling and register as a sex offender.

Peck failed to meet two separate dates to register as a sex offender and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Today Judge Calvin Holden said Peck had also been kicked out of counseling and failed drug tests and ordered that she be taken into custody and held on $75,000 bond.

Holden has three options available to him when Peck appears before him again next Friday.  He can order she serve 120 days shock incarceration, she be placed in a drug rehabilitation facility for 120 days or he can revoke her probation and send her to prison for five years.

In a civil suit filed by the family of the victim, Peck was ordered to pay $250,000 plus attorney's fees.  The insurance company for the Greenfield School District settled with the family for an undisclosed amount.

Former Prison Guard Sentenced To Life For Serial Rapes:

A serial rapist who was responsible for a series of rapes spanning several years has been sentenced to multiple life terms.

Bobbie Andrew McGhee, 48, of Springfield, who was a prison guard at the Ozark Correctional Center near Fordland at the time of his arrest, pleaded guilty in June to raping five women over an eight-year period.

Authorities say McGhee wore a ski mask when he broke into apartments or hotel room's and that he removed peepholes from hotel room doors and flipped them, allowing him to stalk his victims from outside-in.

During sentencing, McGhee apologized to his family, his victims families and the court saying he had done a "horrible thing."

The break in the case came after investigators linked him to the assaults by collecting his drink glass and dining utensils from the Belgian Waffle House on Campbell near his home. The DNA collected from silverware matched DNA left at the crime scene of one of the rapes.

McGhee's attorney, Stuart Huffman, asked Judge Calvin Holden to have mercy on his client and asked for a 15 year sentence. Huffman said McGhee was a victim of physical and sexual abuse that led him to abuse alcohol and drugs.

Holden sentenced McGhee to five concurrent life sentences (all served at the same time- life is 30 years in the state of MO) plus 15 years for burglary that will be served after he completes his life sentence.

UPDATED: Jennings Found Guilty Of Isenbletter's "Grisly" Murder; Sentenced To LIfe:

A jury has found a man from Springfield guilty of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the July 2008 "grisly" stabbing death of Jason Isenbletter.

Isenbletter's mother found him dead in his duplex with more than 50 stab wounds and his throat slit after he hadn't shown up for work several days. The medical examiner believes he was dead approximately four days before he was found.

In court documents, Detective David Meyer writes thatMatthew S. Jennings and Christopher Coleman went to Isenbletter's house to buy pot late on the night of July 17, 2008. The two men told investigators that Isenbletter answered the door with a gun in his hand and that prompted the killing.

A Highway Patrol trooper in Oklahoma operating a "smart car" that can scan the license plates of multiple vehicles at one time was alerted to Isenbletter's stolen vehicle as he drove through a rest stop in Thackerville.

According to court documents, Coleman, 28, and Jennings approached the trooper with their hands up, "We killed our friend," Coleman said.

Coleman pleaded guilty to his role in Isenbletter's murder last August, and was sentenced to life in prison.

The jury has recommended that Jennings be sentenced to life in prison for the murder conviction and an additional 50 years for the armed criminal action conviction when he is sentenced on July 2nd.

Judge Calvin Holden sentenced Jennings was to life on the murder conviction (a life sentence in Missouri is 30 years) + 50 years for armed criminal action. Those sentences will run concurrently (at the same time.)
