Authorities in Joplin are investigating an overnight shooting of a woman who had recently moved into a four-plex apartment in the 1400 blcok of South Wall.
Corporal Chuck Neiss says that Cebron C. Finley brought his girlfriend, Monica T. Young, 30, to St. John's hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.
Neiss says that Finley was arrested on an unrelated felony warrant out of Oklahoma and six warrants out of Joplin. Finley is being questioned by police at this time.
Neiss says, "It appears that her (Young's) wounds are non-life threatening. Officers are talking to neighbors and canvassing the neighborhood to see if anyone heard or saw anything."
