Wednesday Quick Hits

I'm still digging out of cardboard boxes, so here are some headlines/links to keep you occupied until I'm fully functional again:
  • India still talking tough on carbon tariffs, this time at the ongoing climate talks in Bonn, Germany.
  • And speaking of Bonn, things are going, ahem, not-so-smoothly.
  • EU to US: "Hey, maybe you could help the WTO's Doha Round out by, you know, actually saying what you want instead of just repeating the same empty rhetoric and doing nothing."
  • Canada's international economic sanity continues to make the United States' positions look (deservedly) bad - this time on China currency and opposition to the "global bank tax."
  • Canadian 1Q economic growth tops expectations, doubles-up US growth. (Gee, I wonder why?)
  • Czech President Vaclav Klaus: "Let's face it, people, the Eurozone has already collapsed.  And boy were we right to avoid that boondoggle."
Ok, that's it for now.  I promise to be a better blogger soon.  But these darn boxes unfortunately don't unpack themselves.
